Christian Point of View

Who is Jesus? This is one of the most intriguing questions of our time. Some people say they could accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but do not accept His claim to be God. But, during His life on earth, He displayed both His nature as God and man.

Jesus is truly human

As a human, he was conceived by a woman, born as a baby, had a childhood and developed into adulthood, just like every other human being. He grew up with his parents, Joseph and Mary, in a typical first century Jewish house. At certain times, he was hungry, thirsty, weary, sad or even angry. On the other hand, he felt a full range of emotions such as: love, joy, compassion and peace. Also, he experienced poverty, suffering, shame, disgrace, rejection, frustration, denial, setbacks and loneliness.

Jesus is truly God

Jesus claimed equal authority with God. The records of His life highlights eyewitnesses who observed the manifestation of His power and authority over demons and nature. During His lifetime on earth, He healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons from people who were possessed, and He had the authority to forgive sinners who repented of their sins.
